Despite the economic repercussions caused by the pandemic, Ford Philippines is on the path to recovery.

This was the upbeat declaration of Andre Borromeo, General Manager of Fairlane Automotive Ventures, Inc. (Favi), which operates Ford Talisay, the second Ford in Cebu and the 50th Ford dealership facility in the country.

Borromeo said that despite the pandemic, Ford actually ranks No. 3 nationwide (from its No. 5 spot pre-pandemic) in terms of sales and credits this largely to their top-selling Ford Ranger pickup trunk.

“The small cars segment also grew during the pandemic and we have our Eco-Sport to compete in that segment,” he added.

“A lot of our customers who didn’t have vehicles in the past now want to drive or own a car because they don’t want to ride public transportation,” Borromeo noted.

Borromeo gave these updates during the showroom tour of Ford Talisay, which has formally opened its doors to serve its ever-expanding clientele.

Primarily aimed to cater to customers from the south of Cebu, Ford Talisay has a total floor area of 1,397 square meters and houses a seven-car showroom display and 11 service bays.

Staying true to the branding guidelines of Ford, the showroom features a more globally-aligned exterior and interior look and feel called Ford Signature, offering customers a better dealership environment and experience.

“Opening our 50th dealership facility in the country is a special milestone for Ford Philippines and for our growing customer base in Cebu,” said Michael Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines.

“This is a testament to the growing preference towards the Ford brand and our growing vehicle portfolio and after-sales offerings. We are grateful to the partnership we have with Favi and look forward to serving the automotive needs of more Cebuanos with our Ford Talisay dealership,” he added.

Borromeo, for his part, encouraged everyone to check out Ford Talisay as they have enticing promos and programs for customers.

“Now is a good time to buy a car because we try to make it as easy as possible for the customers,” he said.

Citing an example, Borromeo said that for their Eco-Sport they can give as much as P188,000 discount, plus five-year free service, five-year warranty, and five-year roadside assistance.

To celebrate its opening, Ford Talisay will give special Ford merchandise to the first 50 customers. Those who will purchase a Ford Territory, Ranger, or Everest within the month of June will receive a free scheduled service plan (SSP) package. There are also special offers for select Ford vehicles on top of existing promos and deals.

Located at the Cebu South Road Properties Road, Cansojong, Talisay City, Ford Talisay is open Mondays to Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for both its sales and service operations. For inquiries, please call +639178387759 or email fordtalisay@dearbornmotors.com.
