More viewers will have access to local news that matters as GMA Regional TV launches its
GMA Regional TV Strip airing weeknights on GMA News TV beginning May 18.
Every night at 9:45 pm, GMA News TV viewers will be able to catch the featured local
newscast for the day which was aired earlier that afternoon on GMA Regional TV’s local
channels.

On Monday, bannering GMA Regional Strip’s weeklong line-up is leading North Central
Luzon newscast GMA Regional TV BalitangAmianan. Seasoned TV journalist CJ Torida,
award-winning local news correspondent Joanne Ponsoy, and news presenter Jasmin
Gabriel-Galban give the latest news and developments in various areas in North Central
Luzon.

Meanwhile, Kapuso local newscast in Central and Eastern Visayas—GMA Regional TV
BalitangBisdak—becomes available to viewers nationwide every Tuesday. It is anchored by tri-media personality Bobby Nalzaro, award-winning local news correspondent Alan
Domingo, and news presenter Cecille Quibod-Castro.

Delivering the latest news and information from Western Visayas during Wednesday is
pioneering unified Hiligaynon newscast GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas. Headlining this Kapuso newscast is SedfreyCabaluna with Bacolod co-anchor and correspondent Adrian Prietos, and Iloilo co-anchor KaitleneRivilla.

Thursday nights on GMA Regional Strip put the spotlight on unified local newscast GMA
Regional TV One Mindanao led by veteran broadcast journalist Tek Ocampo with co-
anchors Sarah Hilomen-Velasco and Real Sorroche.

And during Fridays, viewers from other parts of the country get to catch the replay of GMA Regional TV Live! Launched last April, the newest addition to GMA Regional TV’s growing number of original local programs is broadcast live weekdays at 8 am via GMA Regional TV’s Central and Eastern Visayas channels. The program is hosted by GMA Regional TV Correspondent Nikko Sereno with Cecille Quibod-Castro as segment host.
Prior to the replayed episodes on GMA News TV, abovementioned regional newscasts are
available from Mondays to Fridays, 5 pm via GMA Network’s local channels all over the
country.

Viewers can expect more quality programming from the Kapuso Network’s regional arm.
Earlier this month, GMA Regional TV Weekend News also began its fourth season by
returning to GMA News TV with a new primetime timeslot every Saturday at 6:15 pm.
“Because local news matters, we are bringing to more Kapuso viewers nationwide all the
news and developments in key cities and provinces all over the Philippines via GMA
