We’re on MECQ again. What can we enjoy outside and where should we go?
Considering the 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew due to the modified enhanced community quarantine imposed in some towns and component cities of Cebu, activities available for us to enjoy are limited to a very few. Don’t worry though. Here’s a list of pandemic-friendly outdoor recreation in Cebu that spells fun.
Pick up your racket and smash that tennis ball across the court of Asmara Urban Resort & Lifestyle Village. Opens as early as 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. You may hire a coach for P250 per hour and rent a racket for P150 per hour. Tennis court rental is P400 an hour from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and P500 an hour from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

To encourage everyone to stay healthy amidst MECQ, the Cebu City Sports Center remains open for joggers. Located at 179R R.R Landon Street, Osmeña Blvd, Cebu City, the sports center is open from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Call 253- 1091 for inquiries.
Feet itching to go up the mountains? Good news: You can go on mountain hikes despite MECQ. Abundantly gifted by nature, Cebu has many options for you to choose from. So, ready your shoes and set on to a height-y adventure!
Being one of the few outdoor activities allowed over the pandemic, riding bikes has become a popular sport. Hit the road, ride along Manipis Road of Talisay, and enjoy the scenic view, fresh air, and challenging road conditions.
If you miss canyoneering, Kawasan Falls in Badian town is open for adventurous souls like yours. Set out to the South and get ready for a sure fun hike + waterfall jumps! You may contact Kawasan Canyoneering Facebook page for advance bookin, or just walk in. Be mindful of physical distancing for your safety.
Enjoy riding along the suspended ropes on high and experience cycling in the sky at Danasan Eco Adventure Park in Danao. With your P300 plus an entrance fee of P50, you can enjoy this outdoor activity.
Round trip pick-up to and from Jollibee Sands Danao is at P250 for a maximum of 5 people.
Another adventure awaits you in Danasan Eco Adventure Park. For P350, you can show off your aerial tricks while wakeboarding on the waters of Danao.
